In Dr Faris Medical Center they know that having a child is generally considered by couples as a natural incidence that will be achieved shortly after they take the decision. Nevertheless, in between 10 and 15% of couples matters do not go that simple. With time, failure to achieve pregnancy can be frustrating and may lead to various degrees of marital and psychological disharmony.

Their center was one of the first few of its kind in the Middle East. They are dedicated to the task of helping deprived couples to achieve this goal. In fact, they started their practice late 70s using endoscopic surgery well before many others in the region. They used to perform more than one thousand case per year with the goal of achieving natural conception. At the same time, they also used simple assisted reproductive techniques until 1990 when they introduced In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and cryobiology (freezing of gametes) to their services. Three years later they introduced Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), followed by laser-assisted techniques and lastly Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). Scientific progress is fast in this field and they do their best to be –at least- very close to the front.

Beside this stream of management of male and female subfertility, they developed experience in some other aspects such as advanced endoscopy and ultrasonography for cases other than infertility. Currently they manage cases with recurrent pregnancy loss, female genital tumors, uterine bleeding, problems of the menopause, and pediatric gynecology. Preservation of male and female fertility is also an important part of our practice.
